Tonja Moon of Moonlite-Health needed a new logo along with business cards. As a Certified Health Coach, her focus is helping clients transform to be the best version of themselves. Her business identity needed to reflect the same thing about herself.
Tonja is a Graphic Designer's dream client. Not only is she fully invested in her brand and understands how important image is in marketing, her name gave the perfect starting point in logo creation.
As we were meeting during our initial time together, I began formulating an idea for her logo. The crescent moon is symbolic of life and death and of changing seasons. The color silver is often associated with the crescent moon. Stars are often regarded as protective symbols. This directly ties into her business as a health coach. Therefore, the crescent moon, a star and silver foil were all integrated into her logo design.
In selecting color for her logo and the back side of Tonja's card, I chose orange and added a subtle gradient. In color theory, orange represents warmth and happiness and offers emotional strength, all important characteristics in Tonja's line of work. After selecting the logo, Tonja sent a photo she wanted incorporated into the back side of her business card. Coincidentally, she was wearing orange earrings in the photo. She wanted a black and white photo and I brought back the orange of her earrings to contrast with the black and white of the photo. Cards were printed on heavy 32 pt Silk stock. As a finishing touch, bright orange colored edges were added for brilliance and balance.
A name badge was also created which coordinates with her business card. The name badge is silver metallic to highlight the moon and the star. A white underbase was used to intensify the black and orange from Tonja's business card. The moon and star were left blank so the silver metallic shines through like the silver foil on her business card.
The results of her business card and name badge are that her brand will get noticed and remembered which is crucial in marketing strategy.
