This Page by Page Before & After design shows how small changes and attention to detail can make a large impact.
Sherry Eberle, manager of the Fulshear area Walmart, wanted something nicer than the standard Walmart business cards. I suggested we make adjustments to the design and the way the information was presented.
The type on Sherry's original business card was much too small which meant that her information would be challenging for some eyes to read. The current font was in a light, condensed typeface which made it even more difficult to read. Her card's paper stock was thin and was prone to creasing and bent corners. The back of the card was empty and her slogan, "Your Fulshear Friendly Walmart" was missing.
First, I rotated the orientation to a portrait design to stand out from the norm. Enlarging her name and contact information made it much easier to read. I added printing on the backside to represent Sherry's community spirit. Finally, instead of the standard thin, generic paper stock, we printed on 16 pt Suede with Velvet Lamination, an elegant stock with a scuff-resistant laminate which brings the total thickness to a rich 19 pt. Her new cards feel as good as they look!
