Holly Robideau is a real estate agent who was referred to me for help with logo design, rebranding, and print marketing. The business cards she had previously did not reflect her personality or vibe and even the photo did not resemble how she currently looks.
We started with the logo design while she scheduled a photo shoot to update her headshot. The logo she was using previously was a house, a very common design element for real estate agents. I wanted to create something memorable and unique rather than relying on common stock graphics. I chose a professional, yet feminine, typestyle where the H and R of her initials could play well together. The logo is elegant in its simplicity and works exceptionally well with the print elements we added.
To further enhance the logo, I chose to print using Rainbow Silver foil, used only on her logo. The beauty of this foil is that it can appear as solid silver but when tilted in the light, shows beautiful hues of yellow, orange, pink, blue, and purple. Different lights and positions reflect different colors. It was a great addition to the front of her card which showcases her new professional photo which I extracted from a studio background and laid on a rich black edge-to-edge blanket of color.
The edges of the double-thick 32-pt Silk Laminated cards are rimmed with pink prism foil which ties nicely with the outfit she's wearing in the photo. I coordinated the back side of the card with splashes of watercolor pink which brings the front, back, and edges of the cards together.
Another key difference in the before and after business cards is that the information is laid out in an easier to read format which does not appear crowded as it did on her original business card.
Overall, the look is clean, professional, and intriguing. The blend of a high-quality professional headshot, a redesign of the information, including her logo, and the upscale print treatments give her business cards she is proud to hand out to clients and prospects.
