For as long as I can remember, I've gone to the doctor every year for a physical - just to make sure everything is in working order and to see if there's something I need to do differently to keep me looking and feeling my best.
Sometimes, I find that I just need a small adjustment and that will make a difference. Sometimes, it's more than that and I need to re-evaluate, revise and revamp. Either way, changes (small or large) to my overall health plan can really change my outlook and make me feel excited about moving forward.
And, so it is with our business health. As I've mentioned a few times, I can be fickle when it comes to my own company's identity and that's why I've changed my business cards several times recently. After having the same design for 15 years, I just got tired of it. It became flat and uninteresting to me. I didn't feel like it represented who I am…who I have become. And, so, the first thing I did was try to replicate who I am with how I want my business identity to look.
So, I first created a new Avatar and everything fell into place from there (including my rather dry humor!) Now, all I need to do is find a shirt like that and I'm set!
The point it, your identity (business or otherwise) must be a reflection of who you are and what you want to accomplish. If you don't have an identity for your business or the one you currently have has become...well...blah...give me a call and we'll talk about it. As my wonderful grandfather, Sidney Hollander (R.I.P.) always used to say..."It never hurts to talk...or listen." P.S. I really LOVE my new look (and the Silk Laminate cards with Spot UV) that I just made!
